Its was an honor to be invited by the United Nations Global Compact Network Programme to host a three-hour anti-bribery management workshop at the Amari Hotel in Penang last Thursday afternoon, with some 90 attendees representing both multi-national and local business corporations.
The U.N programme has been established for a number of years to foster a fair and sustainable business environment that is achieved through prioritizing transparency, accountability, and healthy competition to help establish trust and gain stakeholder confidence.
The Key Risk seminar focused attention on the fundamentals of bribery and corruption and the measures corporates can undertake to develop and manage a practical and reasonable anti-bribery programme that permeates all levels of the work force as well as customers, business associates and the wider public in general.
